We perish because we know not… #TLENews
A state park in Castile, New York is hosting a beautiful natural sculpture for a limited time engagement.
The fountain at Letchworth State Park has frozen over into a 15-metre high ice volcano.
“It’s very much weather dependent,” longtime park employee Douglas Kelly told WGRZ. “How long the cold spells are, the direction of the wind, and the freeze and thaw cycles.”

The ice volcano forms every winter, and once reached a height of 19.5 metres.
Kelly says he’s certain this year’s frozen fountain will continue to grow with spring feeling so far away.
Several visitors to the park have shared their photos of the phenomenon on social media.
