A shelter in place has been lifted at Beekmantown High School and students have returned to class after law enforcement agencies found no traces of a threat at the school.
The shelter in place was prompted when a note, which detailed a non-specific threat, was found in the boys bathroom, according to a school officials.
Law enforcement agencies have also searched Beekmantown Middle School and Elementary School and found no traces of any threats, the district said.
An alternate lunch schedule will be made available to the students, the district said.
The shelter in place was first announced at 10:25 a.m. on the school district’s Facebook page. Parents were also notified by robo-call and e-mail.
Staff is on hand to answer any questions that students may have, the district said.
